Jehovah's Witnesses
The religion of the Jehovah's Witnesses originated in 1870, beginning as a Bible Study class lead by Charles Taze Russel. Because of their founder, Jehovah's Witnesses were originally called Russelites until 1931, when there was a division. Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the Church corrupted the Bible over hundreds of years, and have thus produced their own version, called the New World Translation.
In this section, you will find information on Jehovah's Witnesses, what they believe, why they believe it and why their beliefs do not square with Christianity.
