The Bible is a collection of writings inspired by God and written by his people (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20). It is God's message to man, and is the final authority in all Christian matters. The Bible is made up of 66 "books" in total, and is divided into two main sections; the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament begins with a book called Genesis, which literally means "beginnings". This is because Genesis deals with the very earliest history of the world, beginning with its creation. The New Testament begins with Matthew, which is the first of four books called the Gospels. The four Gospels are four separate accounts of the life of Jesus Christ, who is God in flesh. If you want to know more about the Bible, this section is the one for you. Below is a chronological list of Bible books. Each button will (eventually) be linked to a summary of that book, and each summary will have a list of articles on the site which centre around that specific book.
