Muhammad allowed his followers to rape female slaves

One of the most sickening aspects of Islam is its treatment of women, and the greatest example of this would be the fact that Muslims are not allowed to sleep with married women except those they capture in war. Qur'an 4:24 says And (forbidden to you are also) women having husbands except those (prisoners of war) who come into your legal possession. Allah has prescribed for you (these prohibitions). And (all women) other than these are made lawful for you, so that you may wish them for marriage by means of your money (i.e., dower), maintaining chastity and not in pursuit of satisfying lust. Then those of them from whom you have received benefit in exchange for that (money), pay them their fixed dowers. And there is no sin on you pertaining to the money on which you mutually agree after fixing the dower. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, Most Wise.
An interesting thing about this verse is that the Muslim sources actually tell us the exact time Muhammad first came up with it, nd describes the exact reason for it. In Sunan Abu Dawud 2150 we read: The apostle of Allah (pbuh) sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (pbuh) were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: “And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.” That is to say, they are lawful for them when they complete their waiting period.
The historical context of the verse, therefore, is this: Muhammad's followers were accustomed to killing all the men in the towns they captured and raping their women, but in this case they captured the men, which means much of those women were married and the Muslims thought it would be adultery to sleep with them, given that their husbands were still alive. Muhammad then "conveniently" recieved Surah 4:24, allowing his followers to sleep with their captives. Some translations of the Qur'an even translate this verse as "those whom your right hand possesses", which would also mean slaves.
These horrific practices are still going on in Muslim countries today, as Muslim employers will rape their maids, as a maid is a "slave" by their definition. No man who advocates rape in any case, and do so in the name of God, can be a true prophet. The real God classes rape as a sin, as he created sex to be an act to be enjoyed only in the context of a loving marriage.
